Maybe a little reverse psychology... portray yourself as a very zealous sister and try adding some words that may seem supportive of JW doctrine but actually "highlight" the real attitudes of Dubs... who knows, might get someone's attention.
Examples:
Witnesses... "The Chosen Ones" "those that obediently accept what we're told"
FDS... "Mankind's ONLY mediator to God"
The GB... "Modern day Apostles"
Song book... "Our collection of the only songs that bring joy to Jehovah"
Non-JW's... "Bird-Chow" "the un-forgiven"
Publications... "Our key's to unlocking God's approval"
The GB... "the righteous Sanhedrin"
The JC... "the cleaning crew"

Is this a common practice?... I had never heard of it before.
Is this a sanctioned activity by the WTS?
Has anyone here ever received (or know anyone that has recieved)one of these types of calls? -

A Dummies Discussion on God, the Universe and Everything.
by nicolaou inthought i'd try a different approach to the big questions but it'll probably descend into the usual disagreements.
still, no harm in trying .

Sorry I didn't answer that part (the main part) of your question...
..... it's late and when I get tired I revert into my believer's safety shell of "not thinking"!
It's a Very good question but the best answer that I have +++ please don't throw up+++ Is the one they gave us at church:
"I really don't know... but I'll ask him as soon as I get there!!"
Let me sleep on it and I promise I'll come up with something better tomorrow... I Hope!

Catholics, JWs and personal conscience and Blackmail
by JWdaughter inhttp://www.theindiancatholic.com/newsread.asp?nid=4545 .
interesting article about the fact that 99.4% of conscientious objectors in s. korea are jw.
guess who is supporting a legal maneuver to make it possible for them to do alternative service rather than military service?

What the.....?
Must be that demons are trying to win favor with the witnesses so the "joint rulers" will have mercy on them during the coming age!
P.S. Got my vision back! -

Ok Nic,
How do evolutionist support walking upright?
If mankind is the highest evolved species (mentally), what are the proposed benefits of bipedal movement? Other quadripod/bipods can still reach higher vegetation----bears, apes, dogs, etc... yet all other species (with the exception of a few reptiles) can run faster on all fours. What would be the evolutionary "advantage" for walking upright?
If standing erect requires much more balance than being on all fours... why are humans the only species without a tail?
Since 50% of each day is in darkness and since humans have very little physiological defenses against predators, why is their night vision one of the worst in the entire animal kingdom?
What would be the evolutionary benefit of not being reproductive or approaching physical maturity until approx. 12 years of life (roughly 30% into the life span of ancient man)... compare this with the life cycle of any other mammal. What other animal is not "full grown" so late in life... why?
What is the evolutionary advantage of exploiting available resource for humans having such a "delicate" digestive system? Other animals within the same food chain can eat things that would make a human sick or die.
What is the advantage of being practically hairless?
What is the advantage of male facial hair?
What is the advantage of emotions like sadness, jealosy, or remorse? -

This is so huge.
by La Capra inwhen i was four, i believed that my life could be painfully and tortuously taken from me, in a ball of flame, crashing down from the heavens, just while i sitting down to a bowl of oatmeal in the morning.. when i was nine, i believed that my life, as i then knew it, would be drastically altered, that i would be tortured for being a jw, and after suffering for who knows how long, i would die (because i still hadn't lived up to jehovah's expectations).. when i was 13, i wanted to be a nuclear physicist-because it sounded cool, but in the meantime i believed that i would die in armageddon because i wanted to go to college, get really educated, and have a great, "worldly" life.. when i was 15, i felt guilty that i hoped armageddon would never come, because i so desperately wanted to go to college.. when i was 17, i was offered an honors early admissions in a prestigious program in a highly regarded engineering program.
my mother flat out said, "no!".
when i was 18, i scuttled semi-secretly to the local university, part-time, trying to hide my daily activities without actually lying to anyone.. when i was 19 i quit pretending and disassociated.
